When you take draws on the mouthpiece, e-juice from the cartridge is absorbed into the mesh reservoir because of gravity and capillary action. The cartridge holds the liquid which is then absorbed by a wick, while the coil is also heating up at the same time. When the vapor gets in contact with the hot wick – which has a temperature higher than the boiling point of the e-juice – the liquid turns into vapor and is drawn through the mouthpiece.
Some eCigs feature a fire button, which when pressed, activates the device. However, in this case, the atomizer vaporizes only the amount of liquid that was already in the heating element. You will have to inhale on to the mouthpiece to draw more liquid into the heating pot or the wick.
The user inhales vapor, which provides nicotine and a sensation similar to smoking. When the user exhales, big clouds of vapor come out which quickly dissipate into the air and carry the subtle smell of vanilla, candy, mint, raspberry or any other flavoring agent in the e-juice.
